Diet right

No matter how old we are, what size we fit in or our gender, we all pursue a better image. People change diets like they change shoes. Due to the increasing number of over weight people, a whole range of diets have been introduced. One of the most famous diets we all talk about on our lunch break is the Atkins –low carbohydrate-diet. This diet is also known to be one of the many 'fad diets' there are out there which refers to a peculiar diet or eating pattern. Of course most of these diets lack important nutrients our body needs like protein, fat soluble vitamins (vitamins a d, e, and k), minerals and eventually energy therefore preventing our bodies from growth or development. These diets depend mainly on testimonials rather than scientific evidence. So what makes a diet healthy? Our bodies need macronutrients to function properly; these nutrients are proteins, carbohydrates and fats. They cannot be excluded out of any diet, even detoxifying diets should include th...

20 minute workout on the move

There is no doubt that our normal routines get completely thrown out the window when traveling. Exercise needs to become a constant part of us even while traveling, in order to prevent major lapses. Make a commitment to yourself that you will find at least 20 to 40 min every other day to exercise – NO EXCUSES. Add it to your calendar, set up an email reminder, do whatever it takes, but don’t take no for an answer. You might need to wake up early one day to fit it in. You might need to exercise at 11PM at night on another day. Just do it.  WF fitness trainers bring you a set of exercise you can work on within your hotel premises or a 10 feet space. Many hotels either offer their own fitness centers or have contracts with local fitness clubs to offer free or discounted workout opportunities for their guests. If the weather is poor or if you prefer to remain indoors, check out these exercises for a complete body workout. To warm-up begin with jumping jacks or jogging on the spo...

An Effective Way to Lose Massive Weight

31-year-old Jen Moore simply hula-hooped her way from a huge 288lbs to a trim 145lbs. Now she’s a fitness trainer with the very same company that helped her shed it all. Sure does sound like a dream come true.   Jen couldn’t hula hoop when she first got started. Not surprising really, looking at her before pictures. But what’s admirable is that she stuck to it, and within two weeks she was able to keep the hoop spinning around her waist. There’s been no looking back since then. Within just three months of learning the skill, she ended up losing 40lbs of body fat. Take a look at Jen’s ‘after’ pictures and you would never believe she was once obese. “I would go to my local YMCA and stake out a little corner on the court while the guys played basketball and snickered,” she says. “From day one, I felt a tremendous difference in my core strength, confidence and energy just from the workout involved in dropping, bending over and picking up the hoop.”   Jen and her husband were both...

Top 10 to Eating Healthy at Work

Welcome to the busy working lifestyle - where the combination of poor nutrition and high stress make for a sick and tired person - and most probably overweight as well. Every occupation has its unique pressures: a desk job in clean, centrally heated office may sound like heaven to a manual worker on a building site. But working in a modern office is also demanding. Limited personal space, noisy telephones, photocopying and fax machines all add up to a formula for severe workplace stress. Whatever job you do, tailor your food to the task. What you eat can improve your mental capacity, enhance your performance, and greatly improve your physical stamina. Building a Healthy Desktop Check out some easy ways to improve your work diet: Don't Skip Breakfast - If you are not hungry when you wake or simply cannot make the time - why not set up some breakfast food at work? I've known many a colleague who will fix themselves some breakfast in the staff/tea room. Most offices will...

10 things not to say to a 27 year old

Being in your late 20s sucks. You get the feeling that you did nothing with your life, you’re too ambitious for your age, and you feel pretty old and worked up all the time no matter how “hip” you try to be. Wanna know what makes it 10 times worse? Someone walking up to you and mocking your age! Here are 10 things you just DON’T say to someone in their late twenties: 1. You look tired:  maybe it’s because I AM tired and tried to hide it up with makeup but thanks to your snarky comment looks like I did a crappy job on that too! 2. When will you move out?  I don’t know captain curious. If it weren't for my parents and my skinny bank account I would have done that 10 years ago! 3. When I was your age:  anything that follows that sentence is usually intended to put you down and show you how bad of a job you’re doing in managing your life. Every person has their own journey, their own goals, and their own problem solving techniques, so next time you decide to act all “...

A Few Things to Keep in Mind When You Don’t Get the Job

I prepared for the interview for weeks, researched the position and the company, tried to anticipate questions, practiced answers to anticipated questions, and spent way too much money on new clothes at Men’s Warehouse. I prepared for that interview like it was the last interview I was ever going to have, and told myself that I absolutely needed the job. Then I found out that  I didn't get it. I was devastated, and, honestly, angry and resentful over the lengths I had gone to to get the job. That night, after I found out that I had been passed over, my wife and kids and I went to a shopping center near our house in Phoenix. While walking through a crosswalk a car passed a little too close to my family, and, filled with a lot of simmering anger, I kicked the door of the car as it drove by. The driver stopped, got out, and probably saw that I was a bit unbalanced at the moment. The driver left without a confrontation, but it could have been very ugly. I have had a lot o...

The Perfect CV

A constant point of discussion within recruitment is Perfect CV and the ideal presentation of an individual’s skill set, and this is never more of a struggle than within the technology sectors. Below are ten tips to ensure your profile doesn't go unnoticed. There is no perfect way to write a CV that is going to hit the mark every time but you can definitely improve your odds. As a starter, make sure that you remember your audience. A prospective employer does not want to sift through 2000 words you've written mechanically like everyone else. You want them to be excited to meet you, you want them to feel that if they don't get you in to interview immediately then they're going to miss out on a superstar. Here’s how….. 1) Tailor your CV Different positions often require you to use different skills sets, and you will want your profile to reflect this in the best possible light. Although you may have gained a multitude of different experiences over the past 10 ye...

Asynchronous TCP Server Example

A synchronous TCP Server How to make asynchronous TCP server? This is a question that gets asked regularly by C# developers but isn't documented well in many places. So I decided to make a program and help all my fellows. Make a console application and name it TcpServer. Paste this code in Program.cs //  TCP Server using System; using System.IO; using System.Net; using System.Net.Sockets; using System.Text; namespace TcpServer { public class Client { private readonly TcpClient tcpClient; private readonly byte[] buffer; public Client(TcpClient tcpClient) { this.tcpClient = tcpClient; int bufferSize = tcpClient.ReceiveBufferSize; buffer = new byte[bufferSize]; } public TcpClient TcpClient { get { return tcpClient; } } public byte[] Buffer { get { return buffer; } } public NetworkStream NetworkStream { ...
